STIHL ElastoStart\u00ae<\/strong><\/p>

Due to compression pressure, jerky stresses occur when starting internal combustion engines. The damping element of the special ElastoStart starting handle alternately absorbs and releases force according to the compression pattern. The result is smooth, even starting.

Tool-free fuel caps<\/strong><\/p>

Special caps for opening and closing the tank cap quickly, easily, and without tools.

Decompression valve<\/strong><\/p>

The decompression valve is part of the easy start system. The valve must be pressed before starting to reduce compression pressure during starting, as well as to reduce the effort required to pull the starter cord. The decompression valve is semi-automatic; it must be pressed manually before starting, but then closes automatically.

STIHL Ematic system<\/strong><\/p>

Compared to conventional guides without Ematic, the STIHL Ematic system reduces chain lubricant consumption by up to 50%, depending on the type of wood and cutting attachment used. This system includes a STIHL Ematic or Ematic S guide bar, a STIHL Oilomatic saw chain, and a variable flow or reduced flow oil pump. As a result, practically every drop of chain lubricant is delivered exactly to the right place.

The side-mounted chain tensioner allows easy and safe chain tensioning.

Controlled flow oil pump<\/strong><\/p>

Different bar lengths, wood types, and sawing techniques require different amounts of oil.
